We ran quickly down the mountain path and into the bright city of Crescentia. The bright glow of the streetlights is blinding at first. I never imagined Crescentia was this lit up. I'd always seen the glow in the sky from it all the way in Stalaria. Though, it never gave the impression that the lights would reach this intensity. I imagined it was different if you resided here for more than a few hours, but just running through here made my eyes water.
"Things are a bit quiet here. I haven't seen a guard yet." Snow speaks for all of our worries.
"Aqua doesn't have many soldiers stationed here. Only five are required to be on patrol at a time. They likely guard the path to Valer over the one to Stalaria. It's significantly more dangerous in th…Read more >
About thirty minutes has passed and the mountains in the distance still seem incredibly far away. History books tell of when Stalaria's edge was no more than fifty yards away from Crescentia's mountain barrier. But over the years, it has drifted away from it, making the small fifty yards a good five miles of demon-infested forest. Leaving Stalaria alone is a good way to die, that's for sure.
"Aqua will likely send soldiers to find us by morning." Snow says, breaking our half-hour silence. No one had said a word since Sarah had told us we were fugitives. We'd been walking in silence, on-guard for any danger. We'd had the fear of Demonis put into us in the short time we had spent at the Academy. Lessons we wouldn't soon forget.
"Shouldn't we s…Read more >
I recognize the face above me very quickly. The same girl that I met the first day that put a bounty on my head. I couldn't remember if I was ever told her name, not that I'd remember it, anyway.
"Look alive, flash freeze. I'd hate for you to melt!" Really? If she kept this up, the puns would kill me before she did. "I'm going to enjoy this." She laughs menacingly, pulling a knife out of her boot. "What's with the surprised look, flash freeze? This is an anything goes type of game!" She laughs again, running the tip of the blade across my cheek. She doesn't see it coming, but I do. I see the familiar white shoe connect with her face, sending her flying away from me. With immediate danger gone, my adrenaline races slower, making me aware of …Read more >
I was immediately pushed out of the Headmistress' office. Tasked with busy work to keep me away from information that would be regarded as theoretical. Though I can't help but wonder what Seren Vasallo would have to do with a person who has been missing for over a decade. How would her theory make sense? I decided to silence my thoughts and just complete the job I was tasked with. I looked at the file that was handed to me to deliver and smiled. The Headmistress must have been anticipating something like this. I knew because she was sending me somewhere I wouldn't refuse to go. I turn down a familiar hall and smile at the door I'd entered only once in my brief life here at the Academy. With no warning, I swing the door open and frown at th…Read more >

- - Today I updated the Navigation bar so that it includes Top Stories. (As Seen Through Crystal Eyes, Othrys Ascending, and Kingdom Come being the only ones thus far) I have posted their respective prologues and first three chapte…

"I can't say how sorry I am about the distance I've kept." Sarah sighs, pushing me to walk towards the area where Sheath's temple had fallen. "Aqua has kept her distance, I assume."
"Last I heard from her, she was locking the cloaks up tight and that was years ago." Nelia seems frustrated, but she perks up when she realizes there is more than one person connected to her. "Who is this?" It's weird. I can't physically see her, but my mind is filled with images of her in a bedroom. A man is with her, but he seems to be sleeping.
"Twila Florentina. She's an Academy student. An excellent one, I might add. Training her myself." Sarah smiles, patting me on the back.
"Florentina? As in-"

I was excused from classes for three weeks. Something about being mentally scarred, though I was--am fine. I was told just last night that I'd be out for another two weeks, which means I'll miss the placement test, forsaking me to the bottom of the ranks. Though the academy never officially said they created soldiers, they also never claimed to create mental patients, either. Taking me away from class, even though I had just joined the academy, was like forcing me to turn my mind into a burial ground for my father. On the brighter side, if you could call it that, Headmistress Sarah has been taking hours out of her day to personally train me. Though it's obviously not in defense against the monsters below. She won't tell me what our trainin…Read more >
The atmosphere in the gymnasium has changed. Even the war exercise has stopped to witness the slaughter that was bound to happen. A legend in our history books, Samuel Florentina, stood before everyone, reminding them exactly what authority my father had held. Some even bowed before being reminded what this creature was in actuality. I can hear my classmates screaming for the release of Seren and I, but nobody budges to lift the force field.
My eyes burn with memories. When this man was real, when he actually stood beside me, patting me on the back. When he would wake me up really early just so I could watch the sunrise with him. When this man was my only friend. The only person I could trust in a world torn apart by one woman's arrogance. …Read more >
It wasn't long after our introductions that Aurora and I called it a night. I took the top bunk if only to help Aurora avoid another fall like the one before. When the morning came, Aurora had already left. Her bed was made up and there was no sign she was ever here. The hallway was already flooded with students as a cannon fired, signalling we only have a few minutes to get to our designated area. Great. I was late. Luckily for me, I knew how to get to Mr. Cal's classroom from the Girls' living quarters.

I walked silently back to the Academy, ignoring the whispers on the street. It was surprisingly lively tonight. Stalaria's curfew was never enforced. People could be out as late as they wanted so long as they weren't doing anything against our terrible excuse for a leader. One word spoken against her and her guards would likely cut you down before she could. In fact, I'm sure that if Sarah wasn't with me moments ago, I would have been killed. As I approach the large building, I'm approached by several people. All of which I recognize from Mr. Cal's classroom. All except Asris are here. which I determine is a good thing.

We sat in the abandoned yard for at least two hours before it began to get dark. So many things had happened today that I had forgotten that just this morning I was forced into the Academy. Just this morning I found out that I had killed my Mother in my sleep.
"We should get inside. It'd be too dangerous to go through the streets now." Seren points out. Though I can't hold back my curiosity any longer.
"Seren... How did you find out about this place exactly? How did you break in?" I ask, curious as to how a boy who lived in a sewer learned how to break into a house without leaving a mark on the place.
"A close friend taught me. One that no one will ever be able to see." He laughs to himself. Though I guess if I lived in a sewer, I'd make imag…Read more >
Seren's hand pats my back as Typhoon helps me to my feet. The tears fall fast, no sound can escape my lips. Only yesterday was this woman guiding me. It never occurred to me why a woman of such poor stature would even be in this area. Unless... Miss Ramona wasn't poor. Which would mean most of the things that went through the Stalarian Black Market were products of Miss Ramona's own fortune. Which made things a lot sadder, though I realize that my tears are not only being shed for her.
"Are you gonna be okay?" Ayomide asks, approaching and placing her hand on my shoulder. I simply nod.

And Her Majesty refuses to make a comment, though she is here investigating and helping in any way she can."
"How did you get here?" I hear Aqua scream from the TV.
"Turn the camera. Now!" Aven screams. The scene is the same. Terrible wreckage, though we see blood on the ground here. People have died. But that's not what is drawing our eyes. Instead, our eyes are drawn to Aqua Demonis with her OceanBow loaded and pointed at a male bystander's head.

There will be a change in a few characters in the Demonis story. There will be a new category differentiating between RP plot and canon plot, just so people aren't confused. Pages whose information are canon will be categorized as RB Saga or some variation of that. Which means there WILL be duplicate pages for the purpose of canonical information. Coming to you live from a basement bedroom in Kansas City, it's the real first chapter of Othrys Ascending!

This is chapter 1, with more following tomorrow, hopefully. Enjoy this first scrap of what's to come. I'm willing to bet you'll be surprised by who the narrative comes from.
Steps ring out, the sounds piercing my deep slumber and opening my ears to the following words.
"General Overcast, sir! Are you in there?"
The ruckus rouses me from blissful rest. I punch the pillow with a clenched fist and groan. It's too early for my duties, isn't it? Who the hell could be calling for me this early?

I was immediately sent to Headmistress Sarah's office. Because of me, my fellow classmates had to go somewhere else for their class time today. I sit here silently, waiting for her to show up. Hoping to myself that she would feel that I wasn't worth her time. Though I'm mistaken. She walks in, flipping her long blonde hair out of her face. She doesn't seem as threatening as the rumors made her seem. In fact, she's humming as she walks in.
"Twila Florentina. Rank five ninety nine. Age fourteen. Oh, what's this... Are you the one they've been calling 'Flash Freeze'?" She asks me, laughing to herself at the silly nickname.

All eyes are on me as CP and I walk into the classroom. It seems to be a small gymnasium-type class, whereas the one we were in before was elevated and full of rows of seats. It made sense in this area, however, as I could only count eight students in this class.
"Oh! Wonderful! I had received news she would arrive sometime during the day. Are they not giving her a chance to grieve, CP?" The man asks, placing a hand on my shoulder.
"Afraid not. You know how things are now, Cal. It's not exactly a kind system." He sighs, patting me on the back. "This one is strong, though."

Most knew the situation immediately by looking at my house.
"They cry for this one." A guard points out, whispering so others might not hear.
"I don't know why. They're lucky we don't just throw this murderer in jail." This remark struck a nerve.

As I walk into my home, I hear my mother's sickly cough. A sound I've gotten used to over the past year. Silently, I prepare her medicine and feel a new hope. A tea mixed with herbs donated to us by strangers in the effort to cure my mother. She smiles at me as I place the tea in her hand, but I can see the fear in her eyes. She's terrified of the illness that has its hold on her. No, that's not it, that look is at me.

Fear. It controls more aspects of your being than you might believe. It can make you cower and run, or it could make you stronger. But is there an in-between? Does fear really give you strength? Or does it just steal strength from others and fool you into thinking it was your own?
It's a tricky subject, one that has become a popular topic in the floating city of Stalaria. I hear the usual gossip surrounding the topic of fear as I'm walking through the past. Not literally, of course. Past is what we Stalarians call our black market, we have to have some secrecy, lest the harsh hammer of Demonis punish us all.

Each time I try to leave Bakugan behind in the past, I somehow get sucked back into it. It really breaks my back to see this place dead. On topic now.
Anywho, here I am, chilling in my room, browsing past nostalgic things at 3:00 AM (shut up, I'm nocturnal n' stuffs) and I come across my old Legacy of Letus story. In most cases, when I look at things I wrote way back when, I cringe just looking at those things. Yet in this case, I'm kinda disappointed with the fact I never got into the second half of the story. That and I feel that my writing's a bit more polished nowadays.
So here's what I'm thinking. I've seen multiple messages around here saying that we've attempted to revive this place but each try has failed. Or something along those line…Read more >

I didn't waste any time, I barged right into the small settlement. People in ash-colored clothing were crowding the streets. It looked as if their clothes would turn to dust at the slightest touch. It was obvious that the citizens here were struggling with poverty. Maybe even famine. I wondered if that was because of the new leadership, but apart of me felt that it had always been this way. I didn't remember it being this bad, I was only here a few days ago. I began shoving my way through, standing out in this dull colored crowd, and ignoring the insults given to me for pushing and shoving strangers. Letus had no idea how he knew it was Anne who now approached him. But somehow he did.
Her appearance was easily a direct opposite of the Anne he had once cherished and loved as one of his own. The once happy smile was gone, replaced by a grim glare that could only come from years of plotting vengeance. The Eternal Oath ritual had done wonders. She seemed to almost emanate raw power, and judging by the fact that she was holding a Berserker Cutting Moon in one hand with no effort, Letus could easily tell she had to be much stronger than before.
If she is truly united with Othrys, then I shall treat her as such. Letus thought to himself, lightly gripping Hellslash's hilt.

I was alone. They were all gone. Each and every one of them. I couldn't help but go over in my head the course of the past. The last few days to be precise. I wasn't entirely alone. I still had Sarah, but I would send her back as soon as possible. She had lost just as much as I had. I knew we wouldn't pull through this, but I had made sure people were watching her. I had heard from Rayne of a earth-made thing called suicide. He had said it was when a human ended their own life. On Demonia, you were happy for everyday, for the next could be your last. I couldn't stay on Stalaria, and I hated leaving her there, but I lost my family. Stalaria was no longer a safe-haven for me. I couldn't live with being the last one alive. The suicide though…

They were convinced that the other four could protect themselves, even though they needed the most protection. I stood on the highest cliff on the Crescentian Mountain, staring over Stalaria. It smelled like smoke. Looking closer, I could see flame. Nova must've set flame to his fire-proof temple. He did that when he worried. The smell increased as another stream of smoke began to rise. This wasn't right. Nova only set the temple on fire. Three streams. Four. I heard screams now, and bursts of steaming hot water. Standing on the in-between of a stopped existence and a flourishing one. I was almost sad to leave the scenery of the forest. It was wonderful to see something that wasn't frozen in…Read more >

Hey guys, I thought I would let you guys know that I'm going to be less active for the next two weeks as school is over for a short while and my parents thought they would take the opportunity to actually go somewhere, rather than dying in the heat at home XD

"Hey... Where is everyone?" I asked, voicing my conc…
